Castrol SRF + pads - where?
I spent way too much time searching for a place that sells Castrol SRF brake fluid and some good street/track pads and also ships to Canada. Hope someone could save me time and share some links.

Thanks guys! The original post is well over a year old though
. Good to hear that there are Endless pads available locally. I just received my Project Mu clubsports now, and if I don't like them, I'll try endless. |

I have Motul RBF 600 right now...
Wondering if I should change to Castrol SRG? A friend of mine drove my car and confirmed my concerns: i need to push the pedal way too far down.... seems there's "moisture" or "water" in the line? this is just a guess.. I was curious if it had anything to do with the fluid?

I've used SRF and Motul RBF 600 You will likely need to bleed motul after every weekend or 2-3 days at the track. Your mushy pedal after some track use on Motul is normal.
I kept SRF in for about 9 months and it was still good. When I finally bled the SRF out, it was super dirty but still usable. ...but Motul is still cheaper over the long run if you bleed the brakes yourself. I go through about .5L every bleed. If you pay a shop to bleed the brakes, SRF is the way to go.

I don't know how to bleed...and the shop(s) that I trust are all a 70mile+ drive away....

IMO, SRF is a no brainer. One bleed with SRF will be about $150 + labor but you'll save $$$ on the labor over the long run. In my experience, SRF recovers a lot better and you don't get that mushy pedal after a weekend at the track.
I had 4 hard track days on SRF, one of which I ran my pads down to less than 1/8". My front calipers turned brown and the brakes at all four corners were smoking. SRF was still good. I had shipped my car from Korea to Dallas and it was 9 months old so I just bled in Motul. The pedal was still good.

Guys correct me if im wrong but SRF shouldnt be mized with any other fluid, so you have to completely empty the reservoir, get air in the line then refill with SRF or you could remove most of old fluid then top with SRF and bleed till only SRF is left? Thanks

I just picked up 3 bottles of Castrol SRF from Amazon.com, the "sub store" that sold it is called Powersport Superstore and it costs $67 plus shipping.

Your perception is incorrect. SRF is just another high performance DOT4 fluid, so it mixes and works with other DOT fluids just fine. You need to run it for a while and flush a couple of times to get all the old fluid out of the nooks and crannies, but overall every time you do a flush with SRF you gain a little performance until you're all the way there.

Most people who run SRF just fill it and forget about fluid for the season.
One guy on Bimmerforums Track section even saw a race team do a flush on the race car after a few races and then put it in a street car for someone to run a HPDE!!! Not my story but there are a lot of racers on that board. Search SRF there and you'll find a ton of info.
