Quite a few cars out. Actually, I think there was some kind of a Porsche meet at Captree.

My house is literally a minute from Robert Moses, so I take Ocean parkway any chance I get (to avoid southern state or just go for a drive). There are definitely some regular Porsche meets down there, I frequently see 2 or 3 very nice looking/sounding p cars exiting together from there. It was really nice to see another M floating around yesterday, I know vettes are quick, but they're ugly..and everywhere. Really screws up the beach scenery

haha i was on it around 2-3 oclock. I have a Boxster and my brother has a Cayman and we usually get a good group of cars from out of Brooklyn to take a drive out there every Sunday. Don't have an M3, but love those things.

Thanks! haha I actually thought the same exact thing about silverstone. Your car is beautiful too, was one of the nicest cars I saw all day. I actually had to wash mine when I got home because I felt bad about it being so dirty Let me know the next time you're going out, we're going to have some nice weather soon

I def saw some P cars.

I usually end up down there at one point every weekend as well, just watch out for leo as it gets warmer and flooded with American muscle. Troopers in particular, but suffolk county pd also in marked 4x4s. They hide everywhere and sit in the mouths of the parking lots just waiting to ticket for anything. I got a ticket last year for no inspection when it was 2 days over and it was Sunday.. I was also cruising at 55-60 mph and not acting like an ass at all.

Oh and out of curiosity, do you have any engine mods? My car only has a dinan pulley and MS2 intake, not tuned yet.

I've got BMW Performance exhaust (which adds about 0 hp), an AA pulley, and AA Filter.

Thanks Brother!!! I'll let you know when I'm going out. Actually, I'd really like to set up a meet at Captree one of these days when the warm weather sets in; preferably on a Saturday so it's not all Corvettes. We, and the rest of the NYers here, should really get that going.

I'm definitely up for a meet somewhere along the beach. Sometimes Saturday night brings a lot of vettes/muscle too, they usually hang out at the oak beach/old obi parking lot though. Mornings are usually nice, if you ever plan on attending an afternoon or night meet over there...you NEED bug spray.

It's the truth..some of the guys in those 4x4s are crazy too..they will legit cut across the entire grass section just to give any type of ticket. Last week my tire pressure came on in the car so I pulled over for two seconds just to check each tire and had a cop on my bumper in no time to see what I was doing.

He probably thought you were going to the trunk to turn on your NOS. Sometimes I do run into one who is nice and mostly helps old ladies fix flats, but most are annoying to anyone with a performance car. They think you're just down there to do 200 mph into a school bus.
