Ready to buy Stoptech SS Lines

I'm going to bleed my stock brakes, and thought might as well swap in some SS lines:

Do I need to buy new pad sensors too? I'd imagine the answer is no.

It says "Each set includes 4 brake lines - 1 for each caliper - as well as pre-installed grommets on the front for ideal fit."

So I assume it's 4, not 6 lines?

some kits come with 6 there lines for each caliper and there are two more lines on the inside of the rear that you can replace, you dont have to do them but some kits provide them to be replaced

Ah, I see. I'm using the StopTech ones linked above in the 1st post.

Lately my brakes have been really mush. I'm going to bleed them, so might as well change the lines.

best bang for the buck with lines, they feel so much stiffer and response is so much better after you change lines and fluid!

I'm trying to decide between OEM and Superblue. Car is for street use, mostly civilzed driving and some spirited driving when cops are not looking.

I would personally not go with ATE Super Blue. Although it performs fine, it's just a mess to work with sometimes. I ran Super Blue for a year, then switched to Motul RBF600. That Super Blue took FOREVER to flush out...at least most of it.

I'd say go with Motul RBF600. I don't think it costs much more and I think it's a better fluid. If not that, go with OEM.

Yeah I think Motul is about the same price as Superblue. I'll see if this stuff is available locally here. Us in Canada don't get as many selections as you in the US.

If you are not going to track the car, you are not going to see any difference between OEM and Motul. If you are going to track the car, it would not matter for the first few sessions and then you will need new fluid in a year anyway, so no problem in going with OEM if Motul is not easily available.

And I guess getting a BBK doesn't really aid on the level of street driving, does it?

I want things in this order:

1) Max initial bite
2) Less noise
3) Less dust

I'm on the process of finding a better fluid for the track and I've been reading that once you boil motul it becomes useless. I'm still in the search for a good track fluid.

the infamous bubbles speaks. i havent tried srf yet but heard its the best. have superblue in right now and srf sitting on the shelf waiting its turn.

Superblue is less expensive and you get twice as much brake fluid.

Vancouver, Canada? I had my brake fluids flushed and refilled with Motul RBF600 from Nixon Automotive in Burnaby, they stock them no problems. Ran that for 2 years with my 2008 M3 until I traded it in for the 2011.

I asked about the Castrol SRF600, but they couldn't get any.
