I think a proper bleeding is what I need.

Is this type of thing covered under warranty? Or should I expect to pay a fee to get it done?

Get a good brake bleeding with ATE Superblue, Castrol SRF or similar fluid at an independent shop, it doesn't cost a lot (<$100 normally).

Then go do the proper bedding in procedure, as shown here: http://www.zeckhausen.com/bedding_in_brakes.htm

If this doesn't cure your problem, then you will need to get it diagnosed at the dealer and somehow reimbursed by the insurance company, hopefully.

That's exactly what I'm doing. The shop is asking if I'd like to use OEM fluids or Superblue. Any thoughts?

Car is not being tracked, but I'd like uber strong initial bite.

It helps a lot! Thanks man! Car was repaired, so it's definitely been opened up before, and I highly suspect that was when air entered the system.

Ordered SS lines already, will bleed the brakes soon, and see if that gets things back to normal : )

i used super blue this last time around as the dealership provides it. i also have srf in waiting for my next fluid swap. no issues so far with super blue i would say its pretty good for mild to moderate track use and daily duties.
