I had the GC sleeve over kit on my E90 for about a year and it hardly ever made a peep. Never had to lube it. I just took it off and put the GC street camber plate and stock springs on for a more compliant ride. Getting old I guess.

Do you remember what spring rates you were using with the less compliant ride?

I kinda blew off the sleeve-over concept at first, but now my interest has been piqued. Could be an relatively inexpensive way to improve my track dynamics but hopefully not totally screw my DD ride quality. I still like my EDC. I think the spring rates are key, but alas it will always be a compromise between the two.

Yes, these kits are available and the final price has been established and is on the first link the OP posted.

One thing to keep in mind, is that you can't go TOO crazy with your spring rates on this kit, because the stock damper will not handle it as well. Also, the original picture the OP posted is missing a bump stop that is included and should be used.

We know of quite a few people that are happy with this set-up

Doesn't the GC kit use the same plate they use with the OEM springs? If so, the plate is crap. GC FTL.

I don't get the pricing. The plates are about $400, the sleeves for the front are less than $100, and the rear height adjustors are $100. I'm spending $1400 in total, that means the springs and sway bar mount collars for the front are $800?

The rear adjusters are $139+ and the sleeves are $195+.

Ok, so $600 for springs and sway bar collars? Seems overpriced to me.

(not that the KW sleeve kit isn't also overpriced... it is, as well)

I think it's the M-tax.

Not defending the price but Eibach springs are ~$55/spring and Swift springs are ~$99/spring. I think TCK's VVS springs are closer in price to Swift springs so my guess is the 4 springs in the sleeve-over kit are ~$400. If that's true then $100/machined sway bar collar sounds reasonable.

TCK springs are about $95 each. Just a tad over $100 each on the sway bar link brackets are more than reasonable.

Try to machine a piece of the bracket locally for $100 or even $150, I think you will find it very tough to do.

Thumbs up

Hey Harold, its Erik P. Just wanted to share that in February I had an opportunity to ride with TC Kline on his M3 Sedan at Laguna Seca with this suspension. It was dialed in and incredible. Thumbs up for a great kit!

Hope all is well with you!

Nope, you can opt for either their street or race plates. Their street plates I know had a defect (which I hear was corrected recently) but their race plates haven't had an issue. 2 people I know that have the GC sleeve-over kit have the race plates and have never had any issues. I have their race plates as well (though on JRZ RS Pro shocks) and haven't had any issues either.

Curious about this kit.

Has anyone used it?
What's the optimum spring rate to use with the EDC shocks? For the street and track?

I like that it is a coil over and has the adjustable camber plates. This would allow me to get the car corner balanced and optimize the ride height and camber for track use.

Otoh if this wears out the EDC shocks quickly... Does TCK have replacement shocks that essentially upgrades the system to the DA coil over system? If so then this would be an excellent upgrade path
