I believe that people are dbs, not the car they drive. I get revved at by bikes, other bmws, civics, lambos, etc(thats a lot of dbs). Sometimes i just step on it to be a good sport. Purpose of getting a sports car is to go faster no?
No your right, revving at another car for no reason is being a DB. I guess I meant to say if you see a G begging to get put in his place, like driving wild, trying to race you or even with a license plate like the one in the pics on the previous page, you just want to make an example out of him though right? Again I just meant to say that the OP always has G's trying to race him, but even if I provoke one or not, they don't want to race me, they always back off. Im sure if one was modded heavily enough they wouldn't be phased by my rims and exhaust n still try to run.

Sorry for the rant. I'm going back to work now. I feel better.
Hey now. I drive a g37s, and I know full well that it's no m3. I will tailgate or ride with an M3 just to listen to it purr. But I never rev on one.

That being said, its not m3 drivers, or g37 drivers that are the worst.

It's the freaking 328's with an intake, the 330's with pe, and the damn 335s who haul ass every where they go revving on everything in sight. "oh great, mommy bought you a BMW, don't be a dick"

End rant.

Haha I have had my car for 2 days and I get revved at by 335's so much. When I had my e46 m3 completely fixed up, people just looked at me, now with my e93 m3 they try to make me waste my gas lol.

My friend has a g37 and he thought he was fast until I put him in his place with my e46 m3. Now with my e93, he's just depressed on why he bought his G :/

This thread is classic...what I don't understand is where everyone is encountering such douchebagery? I've had my M for almost six months now and no one has tried to egg me on to race. All I get are the usual thumbs up, nice car, stares and etc...

Until he starts counting the stack of cash that he has left over, that must be what weighs the G down

Mods please close this thread, you are all talking about racing a G35/G37. two different cars in different class. The G series is an excellent car for it's class, if one has to prove to that an E9X is faster and is happy they beat up on a G35/37 then shame on you. I encounter alot of G35/37 and none have tried to race me.

I see them buzzing all over in their "hellaflush" cars. They don't even want to race. They just want eyes on them. They went from annoying to bazaar in there behavior.

Nothing wrong with a G37. That is until you stretch them tires and slam the car. G's are a weird bunch. It's almost worth getting a DD G and keeping it stock just to be original. Lol

Sorry but that was the whole point of my original post. A stock G35/37 stands no chance against the M yet, in the time I have owned the M, no other make/model has driven so aggressively around me. It is dangerous and it drives me insane. I think people should have a basic knowledge about the performance characteristics of their cars before they start driving hyper-aggressively around other people putting other motorists in danger. I am not trying to "prove" anything. I don't roll up 3 millimeters behind a 458 Italia and start revving my engine.

Cheers!

My wife is in the market for a new car (IS250 6MT, she only drives manual cars), loves the way the G37 looks and wanted to buy one.

So before we test drove a new G37S, I took her for a test drive in a 135i, letting her give me her opinion. I didn't chime in once until after she drove both cars and told me what she thought.

She loved everything about the 135i minus the interior.

She test drove the G37 and told me that even though the cockpit is better, the car drives like a wet noodle.

We're looking at ordering her a 135is Coupe, manual.

I had way more problems with pickup truck drivers. They just can't stop tailgating while I was driving. Also, so young kid with hyundai 2 door coupe (I don't know what the name is for that car) stopped next to me at a red light once and revved up to make lots of noise, I didn't care for him as I was minding my own business and he stalled when the light turned green.

And here is to the somewhat condescending M3 owner who believes that the power button is required or has anything whatsoever to do with the M3 ultimate performance level...

Wow. Let's be the stereo typical m3 owner and be elitist to a car that's half the price and assume every action is an attack on your ego.

Ever consider maybe the nod, rev, or look might just be their way of saying hi or showing appreciation? Or maybe even if they wanted to race they're just trying to see how well they'd do against a m3 and nothing else?

This is probably why some never feel like they experienced it and some feel 'attacked' everyday.

Speaking of condescending...thanks for the flame. You mean the power button doesn't activate the supercharger and the meth injectors??? I had no idea. I guess I'm the asshole.

"That's right, I'm the asshole! I'm the asshole!"

In my experience in my E46, G37 drives have tried to race me the most out of any car on the road. They also drive very aggressively around me. I don't think they're dicks though...

Hey man, you don't have to read this thread if you disapprove of it, I find it very informative. I've had my M3 three years now and the only cars that I have killed/crushed/embarrassed/destroyed/obliterated/or sent home crying to their little sister;so far are Smart cars, Corrollas, and a ford Ranger(car with flatbed). I didn't know our cars can also kill G35/37s. I'll look for some to kill later today on my 1/2 mile drive home from work!

So mods, please keep this thread alive for it's informative contribution, thank you.
