Remus race vs B&B performance, selecttion help
Hey guys and gals, i need to make a decision and wanted to get some opinions on these systems, i've narrowed it down to these two because they both seem quiet, no drone, affordable, reputable companies. Both systems are axle back since i already have xpipe(catless). The remus is a race muffler for e92 with carbon or polished tips, cant decide. The B&B comes with polished tips. Let me know if anyone has any experience with them.

I've got the B&B and would definitely recommend it.

The title says race but I'm assuming you mean Remus sport. I have been researching these things as well and have little to offer other than you may also want to look at the Gintani sport and the AE Performance parts which are similar in design.

well actually the sport is for the E90, if you click on the remus link it'll take you to **********s.com where you select the style. The dual walled tips are only with the carbon fiber option, the polished ones are the regular tips on the second picture of the remus photos i posted above. The Gintani looks pretty good for the price as well, just wondering how it'll sound.

Well how about explaining WHY!?!? I would personally get the BB exhaust, not only does it look and sound amazing its also a direct replacement bolt on. The Remus requires connecting pipes which have to be fabricated or chopped off your OEM exhaust. |

I'm getting the connecting pipes or i was intending to, thats why the price for the remus was 1900 or so. I've done a little more research and see that like another member mentioned the AE and Gintani are also quite affordable and more reputable. What do you guys think.

Gintani makes nice stuff, just make sure you look at the sport version as the race is pretty loud. Personally I love the Dinan mufflers as I had them on my last M. I currently have the Fabspeed Maxflows on my car because they are some of the quietest mufflers around. I'm also catless so the quiet mufflers are a good thing!

They have connecting pipes available now which make them a direct bolt on like any other similar configuration. Some sites price them with and others without. Good idea to see if they are included in that bargain price you are seeing or are actually extra when you shop these online. With the Gintani you can ask for smaller tips if like me you find the standard version too large. They actually have several options for tips, powder coating black, etc.

Remus would be my suggestion. Being completely catless, I think I'd recommend the Remus Sport. I have those paired with a Challenge Street (secondaries removed) — sounds great. It could be louder but, the Sports already drone a bit at 3K with my set up. Not horrible but it is there. Funny how going faster eradicates that issue.
![]() For looks, the polished tips are by far the better looking of the Remus choices IMHO... |

I wanna say the quality on the B&B inside and out is better than the remus and this I know from my old E36 M3 days back in the day. Unless Remus got better at making these. Soundwise, B&B takes it again
