BMW M3 smokes Audi R8!! :)

I found this video on youtube. It's a V8 M3 Manual vs V8 R8...i was quite stunned to see Audi's supposed "supercar" beat by BMW's deceptive M...

Thought it'd be cool to share for all the M3 fans on this forum; I apologize in case it is a re-post.

Some of you may think i bs but yeah i drove an R8 V8 and it wasnt that fast. I mean its fast but doesnt match with how it looks. V10 will be much better

M3 was definitely catching up, but then it sounded like the R8 lifted before the M3 came around.

Still... the M3 is a great car, huh? That close and the R8 has virtually zero utility.

Yeah, a classic video. Not suprising as this is just a high speed run with 2 cars of similar power and weight, this probably all comes down to reaction time, etc.

The V8 R8 is faster around a road track as proven by runs on Top Gear test track, Nurburgring, and Road and Track 2009 test on Auto-X, oval, and road race:

This is a better comparison as the cars are driven by the same driver in each test

I've been into one during our Skills Day class, and that car is amazing. I love the M3, but R8 sounds so much better. I might be wrong, but it felt like it has less body roll as well.
