Probably not for 2008 cars, correct? It should say on the bulletin.

The ability to update software in this manner is for 2011.5 (Sept '10 prod.) and newer cars that are equipped with the combox...

Garage List
2013 BMW E92 M3  [5.00]
2011 BMW E92 M3  [4.75]
Things i noticed about this update:

Pandora now displays song, track and album info via BLUETOOTH audio.
I also now see a -1, or -2, or -3...etc. Which appear to relate to how many songs Ive skipped or listened too. I get in the car and it will say -1. But the time I get out, it might say -18. Im not 100% on this, but it moves as I skip or listen to a song.

Before, if I had my iphone running pandora in my car VIA BLUETOOTH audio, it would pause Pandora when I got out. 98% of them when I would return, it would unpause. 2% of the time, I would have to manually restart pandora. That seems to be fixed for me now. 100% of the time, it will pause and unpause as I enter and exit the car.

BT audio sounds the same to me. BT phone call quality sounds the same to me.

Hey everyone. I was having trouble with my car recognizing the software on my USB drive.

I was placing the software on a USB drive that was formatted as Mac (journaled). This is where the problem was. I reformatted the USB drive using Disk Utility to FAT format and I was able to perform the update very easily. Hope this helps you mac users.

Glad it worked for you. I've tried Mac formatting and Windows formatting (including FAT) but neither works for me. Dealer can't figure it out either so will be getting a full software update this week in hopes of 1) getting the bluetooth update and 2) getting the update function to work in my car so that I can make any future updates that become available.
