Hideous Good2Go pass and my M3
With 520 tolling starting on 29/Dec, I've already decided I won't be using 520 ... which is lucky, as I won't be putting the hideous Good2Go pass in my car.
What is everyone else doing?

I guess you have never lived in a state that had toll roads? This pass is about 1/10th of the thickness and 2/3 the size of the Massachusetts toll pass (Fast Lane). You can't really see it once you put it up next to the rearview mirror towards the passenger side.

You're right, I've not lived anywhere with e-tolling. Except London, but they used number plate recognition. WA also uses APNR, but they charge more for it (rip-off).
That MA pass is just nasty.

Actually that same pass is used all the way up and down the east coast and also used in the midwest as well. I still have it stashed away in my basement since I'll be moving back one day.

If you don't want to put the good2go pass on your I'd say don't. There aren't that many toll roads in WA ( to my knowledge ), but there definitely isn't anywhere near as many as the east coast, and I'm from Jersey. I'm not really sure how Good2go works, but EZpass which is what we use on the east coast has 2 methods of being placed on the car. 1 is on the front bumper by the license plate. The other is actuall inside the car, infront of the rearview mirror, which obviously isn't intrusive at all and is hard to notice.
Good2go doesn't have the windshield kind?

The Good To Go Pass (at least the on that I got) is about 3-4" wide, 3/4" long, and about the thickness of a hard-cover of a text book. It's much smaller than the windshield type EZ-Pass or Fast Lane. I had it mounted on my 4S and really didn't notice it during day to day driving.

I had the FastLane pass when I lived in MA. Yes, it was nasty looking...

You guys know about the various not-so-big-and-ugly options, right?

You want ugly? Try the TollRoads "FastTrak" transponder I used until recently while living in Orange County, CA.
![]() The small 520 "GoodToGo" strip transponder is almost invisible compared to FastTrak! |
