Jeff Koons Art Car (scale model)?

Does anyone know whether the Jeff Koons art car model will be coming out soon?

Saw one on Ebay today. Haven't seen it anywhere else, but Mini Bimmers is supposed to be getting them sooner or later.

After contacting the SA in Germany, it was explained to me that it was a limited edition run and that the dealerships only received a few of them. Much to my dismay, she didnt have any but linked me to ebay also and they were going for $400+. I found one in a dealership in France for 120EU but they wouldnt ship outside of France nor did they reply to my emails. C'est la vie...

A couple of weeks ago my dealership checked the "hot line" and they said 4 to 6 weeks.

The one on Ebay hasn't gotten much action at $499.

Insane pricing. Why don't they just make more and make more money from them???

BMW has done a nice job with their limited edition models. They come with a display case/cover and a certain amount of exclusivity. My dealer searched in their database and couldn't find any evidence of the Jeff Koons M3 GT2 in the US or Germany. The parts guy tried the hot line and got the information that it would be 4 to 6 weeks. He suggested that he had no idea how the guy in France got one. They aren't yet available anywhere from BMW. In that sense the price is high, but it's a collectors item. I can't image it will be that expensive when it's released by BMW.
