Garage List
2008 BMW E90 M3  [5.00]
BBS, Volk/Rays and Enkei are on top of the heap in terms of wheel companies. But that is just my opinion. These three companies have been at it for a LONG time and have a hard earned reputation for quality. All 3 also make a lot of OEM wheels for car companies. Other brands may be just as good, but these 3 companies have the track record to prove it.

Sprewell spinners. Represent!

or...

BBS wheels are probably one of the highest quality, with a long, proven racing record. But it drives me nuts that most BBS wheels require spacers and/or hubcentric centering rings for our application.

As stated above, Rays/Volk also has a long reputation of top quality and they are used on the M3 ALMS cars. Their TE37 and VR.G2 also come in the correct offsets for our cars.

HRE is also top quality, and expensive, but they custom-make the wheel to whatever sizing/offset specification you need.

I would stick with a strong, high-quality wheel with a long, proven history. I get nervous about a lot of the new companies that have popped up to take advantage of the money to be made in the fairly recent hot trend of fancy wheels.

I'm not sure how they stack up against BBS, HRE in terms of quality, but as far as design goes they have some very good looking wheels. Also, it seems like every Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche is rolling on ADV1's in South Florida, so that's got to say something if they are willing to put them on more expensive cars then ours.

I guess it depends if you're going to use them for the track or street. I keep my 20" ADV's on the car for the street as they look nice, but I put the stock ZCP ones back on for the track.

I would throw in Forgeline into the mix of reputable forged companies. Their wheels are widely used by Turner Racing.

ADV1 as nice of wheels they make in terms of look cannot even begin to comapare the RACE PROVEN brands like BBS, Fiske and the likes. They are also not up to HRE standards yet as HRE has been in the game a long time.
I have used plenty of sets of BBS (LM's, RS GT, CH) and have had HRE (P40) and they are all great, but BBS is proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
The only thing ADV1 is number 1 at, is overpriced wheels.

HAH! #1 my ass!
i was a big supporter of adv.1, not no more. ONLY cuz they don't wanna provide us w/ the proper certifications, which they claim 2 hav.
so until adv can PROVE that their wheels r actually certified (jwl/tuv), i'll NEVER buy from them...

they do hav good look'n wheels tho, i'll giv 'em that.

MY TOP FAVES: bbs, rays/volk, advan, hre, morr, neez, or dpe

Oh! But they now have a solution for those who wants certified wheels...spend a shitload of money for 6 wheels and 2 tires, so they can crush/test 2 for you .

Adv1 wheels are just another outsourced wheel company but with great designs. I've actually see the pamphlet/website of the company that makes their wheels. Exact same design but much cheaper, ha!

+1 on your fave list, maybe with the exception of DPE...I'd even throw RAC in for their awesome wheels and dedication, but they really aren't a wheel company, more so a bunch of nutbag enthusiasts
