BMW wants to keep as little stock of tires as possible, which is why the Forged 19s and the ZCP rims have the same size tires. If I had ZCP, I would go with 265/285 on PSSs because it does not rub and keeps the stock stagger while increasing the contact patches by a good amount

i need help choosing the right tire size on zcp rims myself for e92 with no spacers.

original tire size is:
F: 245/35
R: 265/35

should i go 255/275 or 255/295? 35 or 30 aspect ratio?

looking for closest oem feel so the dsc doesn't get confused...

255/35 and 275/35 is a common, tried and true upgrade.

If you want to go to 295s, and if you want to keep the original stagger of a 20mm width difference, you would have to do 275/30 and 295/30. Your stated 255/295 combo may yield increased understeer, though I don't know if anybody has actually tried that combination to verify!

You can also once again go the GTS sizes of 255/35/19 and 285/30/19...

If only they made a 285/30/19 with the PSSs, I would be all over it.

My DSC with the 255/35/19 and 285/30/19 is just a tad more sensitive, I do mean a tad. I also think the 285/30/19 looks a lot better than the much taller 275/35/19, in my eyes the latter looks like a truck tire.

So much better with the 285/30s

although the gts rim specs are the same, im sure the dsc is calibrated for this tire setup and won't work that well on ours?

has anyone done 265 up front with no spacer? is that the max but really pushing it? downsides?

lastly 30 vs 35 aspect ratio... which setup to use?

Actually this is totally wrong. The contact patch does not get bigger with wider tires of any type or any width, rather the contact patch changes shape and gets wider but not as long-more rectangular as the tire gets wider. That offers advantages in some areas and not in others but common misconception is it "increases" the footprint. Only thing that effects area of contact is PSI and mass of car.

Good point. I'm sure soon we'll see it, along with the other missing tire sizes. And personally, I like the look of a good sidewall, which is why I prefer my 18s to the optional 19s

You're right, I wasn't thinking. Since the rim width is the same, the area of tiring touching the ground doesn't change, the tire is simply less stretched.

Need advice.

I wanted to put 255/275 AD08s on my zcp wheels for track+DD use, but no one has the 255s in stock. TireRack is saying that it may take up to 2 months to get them.

So, should I run the AD08s in 245/265 instead or get the PSS at 255/275? Any better options?

Track performance is a bit more important to me than DD utility.

I went ahead and ordered the AD08s in the 245/265 sizes rather than the PSS at 255/275 as the AD08s apparently have just as much tread width if not more at the lower sizes than the PSSs.

Hi my names Rastin and I'm getting supercharged in december and was wondering what tire/size i should get? i have the stock ZCP wheel setup on my m3, which is 19x10 in the rear and 19x9 in the front. the problem is I'm lowered on the KW sleeve kit which is about 1-1.2 inches all around. I was thinking of going 295/30/19 for the rear and maybe a 265 or 275 for the front. What do you recommend?? i currently have spacers on my car and will remove them with the new tires. As of tires my options are Nitto (NTO5), Michelin (PSS), Falken
(RT-615K), Bridgestone (RE-11), and Toyo (R1R). Which would you recommend? Thank you for you response and it is much appreciated!

You would probably have to take the NT05s out of the picture. As they don't make M3 friendly sizes I believe.

I know this thread is a bit old by I am planning to go with 285/30/19 on ZCP wheels, H&R Springs and 15mm spacers. Will I have any rubbing issues?

Front will also have 15mm spacers and 255/30/19 tires.

Any insights?

Why is there no 285/30/19 SS??? I want to mimic GTS sizes dammit and don't want to use shitty tires!
