Anyone out in the blizzard of 2011?
Switched over to the Blizzaks last night in preparation for today's apocalypse.
Managed to find some slush on a teensy bridge and made it all worth it. Will prob be back on the RE-11's by Friday... Gotta love weather in Colorado.

Blizzaks are being put on as we speak ;-) Since I don't have a second set of wheels, I'll probably leave them on until spring now.. 50 high, 30 low, Pzeros aren't the most graceful in those temps.

I'm parked for today since I didn't want to do the switch already. Will do so before the next storm and then hang on till spring.

Between the 30 profile of my snow tires (thanks, Tire Rack
) and the ugly A7 wheels, I try to avoid my snow setup as much as possible. Thanks to studs, swapping isn't all that hard, so I'm hoping to do the snows only as needed ... at least until I can replace it with a better setup.

Still riding on the Super Sports, so no snow driving for me!

Good thing I threw my Blizzaks on. Check it:
I can't believe you guys switch your snows on and off in the same season. That would be such a pain in the ass!

Sure! I filled up the lower air intake of my Amuse bumper with 'center snow' about a month ago. Crappy iPhone pic from the garage I park in at work, but you get the point.

When did you get the Amuse bumper? Id really like to see that in person.

![]() I really like it but do have two complaints: 1) I have to repaint the black mesh every spring as it gets chipped from road debris. This time I also have the added pleasere of re-forming the center grill because that snow was PACKED in there. Oops. 2) The front sticks out quite a bit farther and is probably 2" lower than OEM - I've always been diligent about parking, but there have been a couple of taps with this thing that've made me cringe. Luckily it's clear bra'd and that took the impact, but still... it's a sickening feeling.

It's surprisingly easy to do. Getting underneath the fender liners is somewhat of a PITA, but other than that it's a breeze. And the bumper weighs less than the wheels, so I actually prefer doing it over those!
