Apple TV is a little box that connects to your tv with HDMI. Once the box is jailbroken, you can literally watch every movie and TV show for free. New episodes of TV shows are loaded onto it within hours. It's sick - I did this for myself and downgraded my cable package because I can watch everything for free.

Umm, $200? Sorry but that's a ripoff, I got one for $100 (refurb from Apple) and jailbroke it myself. It took maybe 20-30mins and was not hard. $20 max for the jailbreaking service is fair... but good luck with your sale.

They are asking for $250 for jail broken ones here in Montreal.

That is crazy. The info is available everywhere, if you are at all computer savvy its not hard... I can't believe people are paying $100-150 for 20mins of work. If the guys that created the jailbreak found out they would be pissed.

Try here if you want to give it a shot yourself. I used Seas0nPass on mine and it worked no probs.

Which plugins are you using? Just did mine recently and added icefilms. Haven't watched anything yet though. My wife just like using the apple tv for renting movies through itunes or netflix.

His price is actually pretty good for people that aren't tech-savvy. I have a friend in Calgary, she charges people anywhere from $50-$150 to have their iPhone's 'jailbroken' and same for having your BlackBerry's unlocked. Funny thing? She makes A LOT doing this.

For reference in Toronto you can get an Apple TV2 jailbroken for $30 from various people on Craigslist...

What I dont get is how you say you have every movie and tv show for free? I have had my ATV jailbroken since the day I got it. But didnt know there was a hack to get eveything for free. Any hints on that may I ask?

Haha I guess you could say that but at the end of the day people that have more money than sense will pay and people that want it done ASAP will pay. Can't blame somebody for being hungry to make money after all not everyone in life is given what some of us on here are given, a steady road to wealth either through parents or ourselves. Most of us are from the latter, therefore we never have to think about overcharging a customer etc. Either way I get to sleep with a clear conscience so it doesn't bother me.

don't think that $70 premium is going to affect anyone driving an M too much...also would pay for the convenience. For my .02 cents, I think its a good deal for the headache and having it all ready to go.

+1, I consider myself real tech-savvy but still paid some guy on kijiji $60. If he messed it up at least he would have had to get me a new one, considering I know where he lives now.

Install the icefilms and Navi-X plugins.
