HRE R43 in anything other than black?

I have just ordered my snow tires, and am having them put on my stock wheels, but it got me thinking about what wheels to get next spring.

I am definitely a "function over form" type of guy, but that said, the HRE R43's look mean, but we all know they are business as well.

I like the black gloss look that most people here are doing, but I am also considering something lighter and shinier, for the summer ya know.

I have not been able to find any pictures of an E9X M3 with HRE R43s in any color other than black! HRE has *so* many finishes for them, so I would really like to see some pictures of the other colors mounted on our cars.

Does anyone have any such pics?

most racing wheels are in matte black, and street wheels are in gloss black.

hre has these wheels in white I believe

I believe you can get them in any standard finish and, if you pay extra, any custom finish. In an old issue of GRM, HRE had an add with a picture of the R40 in their brush tinted clear finish. Also, just check their website for available finishes.

I have a set of R40 in a textured matte black finish.

I'd say go matte black, brushed aluminum/silver, or brushed gunmetal if you want to be more conservative. If you like to be crazy like me id get something like red, green or orange, depending on the color of the car

Black is a terrible color for a racing wheel. Impossible to see cracks without very close inspection

I'll have a set of HRE R40's in not black next week

So far most M3's have done black and while it looks good I needed something different.

So the color is "classified" until they are installed? What widths did you go with?

Awesome, I would love to see pics when you have them mounted. Gloss black is cool, but I really like the look of the silver P43s, too. (which has a similar look to the R43s, obviously)

My car is SG, so I am not sure if I want to go dark with the gloss black, or lighten it up a bit with brushed, etc.

/me waits patiently.

I should have pics up around thanksgiving unless something holds up my order/shipping.

Counting down the days! I have to make a serious effort to not call HRE every day and ask if they are done yet

Most of our customers prefer the Black finishes on the R40 Series. But we can definitely build the wheel with any of our available finishes.

Here's some of them in gloss white and satin gold finish for the R43

Brushed aluminum looks great.
I like seeing the wheel in its raw form.
