finishing touches stage of production

my 2012 M3 has been in the finishing touches stage for 8days now.

should i be worried the car was damaged? how would i know if it was?

You probably wanna do a

The cars have been held due to EPA release. I'm sure your car is fine. You can always call your CA for info.

Production is perhaps the wrong word here ... might it be in the US right now and being prepared for delivery to the dealer? I ask this since I did visit the BMW factory in München and cars roll off the assembly line in less then one day.

how do you do a search and what does CA stand for? this is my first M3..

CA = Client Adviser (salesperson)

Search button is in the upper right hand corner.

All 2012 M3s have been stuck at the VPC/VDC waiting for EPA and CARB paperwork to be completed and filed.

Thanks for clarifying ... see I learned something today, was trying to figure out what the "C" stands for.

reminds me what my dad once told me ... he said "Son you learn something new every day and on the day you die you have to learn how to do that too" True words he spoke that day

Rolf-Deiter's hint to check the BMW USA Owner's Circle is certainly helpful to some. Even if it does not provide the most complete information, it is miles ahead of what BMW Canada does.

If it were not for the fact that my wife also drives a BMW and ordered her 335 two years ago she might be thinking that I was having a "relationship" with my CA for all the email exchanges. I know that this is a commission well earned.
