Anyone get their lease from swapalease?

Is it an easier/cheaper way of getting into a lightly used car?

They have a few e90 m3's for around $750-1000 a month

Also, since you also have to get approved for the lease why do they post their lease payment when yours could be totally different, Any insight on this would be great.

Thanks alot.

the lease payment does not vary on your credit. You are either approved or not approved and you then get the rate the seller is locked in at. Its not like a financing situation where the interest rate varies on credit. Lease is a one rate you either quality or you do not. I think swap a lease is fine but why not just lease a new one at that price? Not like you will save much money going lease swap route unless you want an ultra short lease that you can take over.

I've always thought about something...

Do you have to turn in the lease at the dealer of origin? Or any BMW dealer will do?

It's been a while since I leased a BMW (1999-2002), but it did not matter where I turned it in. Things may have changed, though. If you move cities during the lease period I doubt they would expect you to drive/haul the car back to where you bought it.

The only reason I'd consider that is if you can find one that someone had put a lot of money down on, so the monthly is less than you can get one for yourself.

No, I took over a BMW lease from CA and returned it in another state. Just make sure you get a pre lease return inspection of the car (when you are returning the leased car back to the dealer) to get an idea of what kind of expenses you'd be looking at to repair dings and scratches and tire wear. Swapalease is OK but they end up charging both parties. I think Leasetrader's charges were far less on the buyer's end, but things may have changed since last year.

This is not always true. It is the dealers discression whether they want to accept a lease back that they did not sell. Some do, and probably most do but by no means is it your "right" after you lease to force a car back to another dealer.
