2008 m3 CPO with new owners each year, normal?

In the market for an 08' Sedan, found a CPO one

http://www.carfax.com/VehicleHistory...91|-72|-24|-95

Only 27K miles, obviously will need to see and test drive in person but is turnover of m's pretty high in general? Just thinking I'd be the 4th owner and if I sell it on in a few years it just seems like a lot of ownership changes.

Are CPO's pretty trustworthy from people's experience?

I would skip it and find another CPO. I would also buy from the dealer that originally sold the car not from the dealer that bought the car at auction. This is how I bought my 08 CPO E90 M3. At this point, the 08 CPO has little more than the 2 year CPO warranty left and the price and CPO premium should reflect that.

That surprises me, especially since it's not as if the next-gen M3 came out or anything. I don't know that multiple owners automatically qualifies as cause for concern (they might all have babied it, just as a single owner might have driven it hard all the time), but it's certainly more variables and I definitely don't think it's "normal". Remember, you're asking on an M3 enthusiast board, frequented by people who really like their cars and are therefore likely to keep them a while unless they trade it in for something newer.

mmmdef...silverstone/silver interior, 6spd, tech, cold weather and premium package for $42.9K...so price is good for a CPO

Where did you end up picking up yours? I just moved to Jersey City after living in Manhattan for a couple years so I'm itchin' for a car.

Price seems good. I bought mine from JMK, they had the car for 3 days and my timing was perfect. I paid $45,8 for mine. I checked out Autotrader/Cars.com/forums and BMWUSA every day for months.

Price is good but I don't think I could stop asking myself why so many owners in such a short period of time - I'd pass for that reason alone.

This is not really the norm for turn over, 2 to 3 owners is what one would expect for a 3 year old car. I would stay clear of even a 3 owner car.
