Drop in High Performance Air filter



Macht Schnell offers a high quality, high performance and high protection original equipment direct replacement air filter – specifically for your S65 powerplant. Each filter is designed to the specific requirements of your engine it will be protecting to deliver top-level performance with maximum flow and filtering. Pleat depth, quantity and filtering media configuration are tuned to provide the best possible performance without compromising the protection required for today’s high tolerance engines.

The S65B40 High Performance Panel Filter is the ultimate first step for someone that wants to maintain and improve upon the highly engineered stock intake systems. This is an engineered filter constructed specifically for your BMW to deliver maximum airflow.

Maintaining proper CFM flow and particle capture efficiency is a delicate balancing act. Filters that flow well usually do not protect as well and vice versa. Stage 1 Intake System

Combined with our Intake Charge Scoops (ICS), this matched combo will provide maximum air delivery for your S65 engine with noticeable power gains.

The ICS pieces are constructed from nearly indestructible polyethylene, which prevents heatsoak and will not bend, distort or rust after years of use. The inside of the ICS pieces have a smooth radius with a gloss finish to direct airflow into the intake snorkel while the outer edged are black textured to emulate factory pieces, giving a stealth appearance.

Stage 2 Intake System




Designed under the idea of function over form, Macht Schnell is the first to develop a proven intake system that compliments the already efficient M3 air box. By replacing the restrictive stock filter with a larger, more free-flowing performance filter the engine is able to breathe air easier. Also replaced is the stock, accordion style intake elbow that connects the air box to the intake manifold. The Macht Schnell replacement Intake Charge Pipe (ICP) has very smooth and glossy interior walls and is 18% larger by volume, eliminating the turbulence and resistance that the stock elbow produces. The elbow is constructed from super strong polyethylene and has a textured exterior that perfectly matches the texture of the OEM intake manifold for a stock look. Included are Macht Schnell’s own Intake Charge Scoops, making a matched combo that provides maximum air delivery for your S65 engine with noticeable power gains.

Heavy duty rubber intake couplers and European worm style clamps are included to maintain a tight seal while allowing engine movement. A 6061-T6 anodized aluminum inlet is embedded into the Macht Schnell Intake Charge Pipe to retain the stock PCV system.
