Hey guys and gals,
I took my "zoom-zoom" Mazda 3 to Costco for a tire balalnce rotation\flat fix and they lost my key. They worked on the car and parked it in the lot but can't find where they put the key. So I had to call my buddy for a ride and drive 39 miles ( each leg of the trip ) to get the spare key. It's been a week and no key has been found. So what do I ask for ? replace the key ? or have the car re-keyed since there is a spare key running around and no one has any idea who has it ? They have offered to make me a spare key already. ![]() |

I highly doubt they would pay to have the car re-keyed. Worth a shot, but I think your best bet is to just have them make another key and give you a gift certificate for some dough at costco for the hassle you went through.
