just speced out re-11s vs pss. look like at a given tire size the re-11 weighs 4-5lbs more per tire. thats huge. also the pss is slightly cheaper. may go that route after all as they will be my winter and wet track set so not so worried about getting overly greasy on dry track days, thats what ad08s are for.

Seen it all too many times.

Cheap tires are a surefire way to ruin an overall driving experience.

The PSS doesn't offer a 285/30/19 so I will probably try the DWs next. They also only weigh 25lbs a piece.

What's amazing that this conversation has to happen at all. There is a large percentage of M3 drivers here that shouldn't be. No need to explain or justify any more. No need to discuss.

I used Conti DWs before, about 2k miles, 2 track days (1 SOW, 1 Button Willow)
Or I may have also used them at Big Willow too?
I've gone to too many "willow" days to remember

Anyways, I was not satisfied with them at all. They were fine on the street, but were slipping a lot on the track
I haven't tracked with my RS3s yet, but am LOVING them on the street
I did a light track session on a set of PSSs, and loved them. No experience with them on the street though.
I used to have AD08s on my 335i and they were amazing as well.

My CS3s....I wasn't overly excited while driving them, but I didn't dislike them.
They were fine until I drove about 7k miles or so with 6 (or was it 7?) track days on them lol

I can't believe how many members on here buy cheap shitty wheels... $70-80k car and then throw some $1k VMR's or some other cast garbage... come on! Stocks > 99% of the wheels out there under $3,500. If you are not getting an equal or higher quality wheel, keep your stocks!

But yes, I also agree about the cheap tire thing, so backwards!

I don't get that either... I am slightly guilty on the cheap tire thing, I'm putting Invo's on my ADV.1's, *BUT* the ADV.1's are for strictly street and show use, so I have no need for R-comps or any extremely performance oriented tire. When I track I will use my ZCP's for now with PS2's or whatever will come on them, but I plan to buy te37sl's with RS3's, NT-05's, or R888's for the track next year.

Unfortunately, for a lot of people appearance is more important than ultimate performance. People who do this probably just want to cruise and get props for their sweet "rims." Or they select tires based on a cool-looking tread pattern instead of high-quality engineering...

I couldn't agree more.

Salesman, "Why?"

Director: "Douche, when you say "HATER", I want more emotion and look into the camera." "Either do what I say or go back to making Gonzo flicks in Van Nuys."
