Have you ever been to the factory ... if not you should go some day it is quite a sight to see ... the photo below shows the chassi of an M3 meeting up with the frame and the motor refereed to as "Die Hochzeit" (wedding). As I said quite a site to see.

Thanks! I really wanted to do ED but we had just gotten back from Europe when I ordered the car and another trip so soon was just out of the question. It would be nice to see the plant someday though.

I did the factory and museum trip in 2009 (Dresden; VW Glass Factory, Stuttgart; Mercedes and Porsche and then München; BMW) it was a blast loved it only this was a boys trip not recommended to take the wife along

My 2012 starts production the week of 31/Oct ... so should be taking delivery right around Christmas.. A nice present from Santa!

I was in Munich a few years ago, and tried to get a factory tour .... None were running when I was there. Opportunity missed. :'(

I drove my '12 E92 M3 from Innsbruck to Davos today, the car drives great!

BTW, Jerez is an awesome color, no regrets at all. People stop and stare.

I would very much like to, but only have my iPhone + iPad for internet, and my Photobucket app refuses/fails to upload. If I can't figure it out, you can expect a new thread with details and pics on Oct 26th.

I ordered one of the last E90 M3 sedans - will it be a 2011 or 2012? It is supposed to be here before end of the year.

2011, for certain. All 2012 sedan bodies will use the F30 chassis.
