agreed with keep trying the updates, took me about 5 tries spread out over 4 hours this AM to get the update on my ipod touch 3d...took 4 attempts this evening to get my wife's ip4 updated...figure the traffic is heavy and connections are just timing out....

also received my shipping notification from vzw via ups...but the label has been printed, no other info regarding shipping is noted..so it's safe to say it will be on time, but not early..most likely dropped off tomorrow to the ups station, shipped and arriving friday..

Got the iPad2 updated to iOS5. Seems pretty cool so far, but I've just scratched the surface. iMessage looks to be pretty handy. Maybe I can cut back to a cheaper texting option.....

Should be interesting to see how iCloud will help with syncing my iPad2 and iPhone 4S.

I've got my shipping number from AT&T. What is odd is that when I placed the order, it said it would be FedEx unless I worked for USPS, UPS or DHL. But the number is for UPS. No matter, I like my UPS guy, although the FedEx gal is pretty good too.

Tried updating to iOS 5 on my iPad, it took 5 min to download it, about 10 minutes for it to backup and install it, but god only knows how long it took to restore the apps, I never got to the finish. I had to leave for work. Last I checked it had been 45 minutes and it was still going.

Anyone know the steps that follow the "restoring apps" part of it? I just left it connected to my computer.

mine was at a facility less than an hr away from me yesterday. Checked this morning it not only went past my area but 2 hours south and is sitting at that station and will get delivered to me tomorrow lol.

My UPS guys is usually here between 11:30 and 12:30. As I get far fewer packages from FedEx, they aren't quite as consistent.

My phone left DFW at 12:32 AM today.....

I ordered 2 of them mostly to see if Siri is any good....seems like most of benefit is in IOS5 update rather than the phone...I updated my iphone 4 yesterday with new software but I didnt sign up for icloud.

I am abit confused about icloud...I have 4 apple computers at home and dont want my cell to interact with all of them with updates with contacts, picture, videos, etc...just want it to interact with one laptop only...how does this work???
