I've never really liked the E9x ///M in blue, but the pics of your car has changed my mind. It looks so much better than any other blue E92 I've seen. Great trip, great car. I'd love to do it myself someday. Many safe miles

Wonderful pictures, thank you.
Many of them are from perspectives not usually seen.

The two looking up at the interior/timeline and the ceiling/roof of museum are excellent, with the latter being one of the few to get a sense of the art in the architecture.

Well done.

I am so jealous. This might inspire me to one day take a ED.

What was the beat playing from 11mins?

My e92 is on the elektra as well.... Currently it's not traceable...but hopefully it'll arrive in NY on the 12th..... Where do you plan to pick yours up?
It was just the Intro track from the album XX by The XX, if you liked it you may want to check out some other stuff from them, they are quite good.

I'll be taking re-delivery at the Performance Center in Spartanburg, hopefully sometime end of October or beginning of November.

He had some Blue LED Angel Eyes that looked pretty cool, but I wasn't really into the strip of white LEDs in the bottom air ducts. Seemed like too much of a direct copy of Audi/Merc. Just my imo, he definitely had a nice ride though, loved that blue!

Thanks! I was really impressed with the color in person too. You really should do an ED at least once in your life, I can't recommend it enough!

The architecture, much like their cars, is just an amazing feat of engineering.

Thanks again everyone for the comments, I am really blown away by the reactions.

I love Monte Carlo as well, but just couldn't justify the price of Individual paint. :P A used M3 is still an M3 and you'll definitely enjoy it!

It really is a great color, I love how the roof contrasts a little with it.

Hahaha! When we met at the Welt I thought you said your name was "Simpson" not Simsims! I was looking around for you to ask about posting a pic of your car. When I couldn't find you I decided to just post one that doesn't show your license plate, hope you don't mind!

How did you like the 1M anyway? Feel different/better than your 135? Was nice meeting you!

Thanks, It really is! Even after looking at the bill and dealing with this long wait for redelivery, I'd do it all over again.

It's an export plate, who cares :P You can do the whole picture if you want.

1M is definitely different! I was too lazy to post pictures, but it DEFINITELY does not drive like a 135.
I'd say it's more in between an M3 and a 135. The suspension, transmission and clutch feels M3ish, but the acceleration feels like a turbo (obviously), but MORE! I didn't like how I had to shift like a maniac in order to get power out of the M3, so I went with an 1M = lazy ass daily driver.

The day I went to the ring it was closed. I had to turn in @ frankfurt in the afternoon because it was @ 1200miles already. So I went back to the ring with a rental Mini Cooper. Damn that was fun, pushed the cooper (not even s) to the limit. I'd have to agree, stick shift NA is a HELL of a LOT more fun on the track, just not so in the streets...

Glad you're happy with it, I could definitely feel the difference between my 335 and the M as well. Even at low revs that V8 just sounds intoxicating. I must admit I was kinda tempted to ask if you wanted to try driving each others cars just so I could check out the 1M haha! I know I wouldn't want anyone in my new baby either though!

That sucks about the Ring being closed, but at least you got to drive it with a rental. I wish I would've finished the break in before going, but honestly if I was pushing it all out I probably would've wrecked haha! That track was crazy, but sooooo much fun. I may have to go back over there between EDs just to drive a rental!

I was glad I didn't drive my 1M. I'd wreck it for sure. That track is ridiculous. With 121HP, my wife and luggage in the back, pushing the cooper to the limit was already fun enough for me. I already got everything from understeer to oversteer and etc in that car.

Small engine for a new comer to the ring = safer
