Original E92 M3 Concept Car

Was just thinking with the current M3 nearing end of life, does anyone know where BMW keeps the original concept car? I remember the day the Geneva photos came out and was absolutely fell in love with it. I never in my wildest dreams thought I would actually own one today. If anyone knows where it might be likely (hopefully on display somewhere in Germany) I'd love to go visit and see "genesis" someday.

*Side Note*: According to wikipedia, "It was originally set to be called M4 along with 3 Series coupes and convertibles that were to become the 4 Series, but due to the interest in retaining the M3 line, this change was scrapped." If this was true, it sure sounds familiar doesn't it...

Never noticed the concept had the DCT shift lights even though it was a 6MT.

During my ED trip In May I was told that they have a secret garage somewhere in the Munich area and cars some in and out of it regularly to got to the Welt or the Museum. The day I picked up my car they were moving the E92 M3 pickup truck/ranchero clone off of its stand at the Welt to put it away. I don't know if they have a website that updates cars currently on display.

Lolz, I love reading those old posts sometimes. It's funny when some people talk about how "shrek looking" the front bumper was and how they think they'll have to pass on this one. And yet, what does their profile say what they drive now? I tell ya, they really had the E46 M3 CSL on their mind when that concept was conceived. Same color, same tires, wheels, carbon fiber and alcantara steering wheel. I guess the concept itself was the closest we ever got to an E92 M3 CSL. At least all that can be ordered or purchased except the weight reduction.

I've seen pictures of that garage somewhere. Can't remember now.

It happens with each new generation 3-series and M3s, like clockwork.
