car won't go straight

I have a 2008 right hand drive M3 imported from UK. I put new RE11 tires on it with fresh wheel alignment. The alignment reading was normal but the car has a tendency to pulls left. If I let go my hand going at 100kph, it will take 5 second for the whole car to drift one lane. I brought back to the mechanic, they have measured the wheel base, disassembled the brakes, swap the springs, new bearings, new alignment... There is no improvement. Any suggestion?

RE11s are STICKY tires


if the road is tilted, it'll grip it more and trail to a side

does it do this on ALL roads?

it drifts left on road that are tilted left.(5sec/lane) it goes perfectly straight on road that are tilted right.

08 will probably need all new bushings in it. did your mechanic check the control arm bushings? they probably give more than when new and messing with your toe when driven but fine when measured statically.

yes the mechanic change 2 bushings in the front. but that's it.

+1. almost definitely the bushings. I'd have them (or another mechanic) recheck them. Then alignment after.

The ultra great majority of roads are crowned to evacuate water, PLUS wind (even if you don't feel it) can also push cars a little, so ANY car slightly pulling over one side of the road is not an indication of a problem by any means. And I'm assuming you checked your tire pressures, because uneven ones also contribute to pulling to one side. Even uneven weight distribution (a heavy driver alone) can have an effect.

Only way to find out for sure is to try driving on a deserted (or abandoned) road with a driver and a passenger of roughly the same weight, where you can turn around and drive exactly over the same footprint as before. And tire pressures checked just before the run (I used 35psi all around myself). If car pulls to the same side on BOTH directions, then you might have an issue... but now you'd have to find out where . Good luck.

has the car been in an accident before? Since you measured the wheelbase your struts are probably not damaged. What about the front subframe?
