CDV

is there a cdv clutch delay valve for the m3 like the one they have for 335i? i dont like that 2 sec delay!!

There's no CDV on the M3. It has the same housing of all 3-series, making it confusing, but it's hollowed inside. Zero restriction.

As others have stated, there is no need to touch the CDV on M3 models.

Bump, so is there any way to fix this soft zero feel clutch?

I drove my E39 M5 today after not driving it for a month, and I was startled at how natural and easy I could get the 1st gear to quickly grab and go in low rpm to do fast launch that would totally bog the M3.

I will gladly pay for a good solution, because the stock clutch is horrifyingly bad. I mean, couldn't they have put the E36 M3 clutch system in this car (uprated for the additional power of course)?

Yup, I just did this and it's tons better. I took out both springs (MY11). The gearshift itself is crap too. First thing I do after jumping back into my S2K is to curse the M3's shifter. I bought a clutch pedal stop which I'll be installing this weekend, and perhaps later on I'll do the ZHP knob, although I want it lit, and that DIY looks too time consuming and the ready one from Leather Z lights up like crap. And I'm seriously thinking of the RE Octane SSK, but again, not sure I'll have the time for the install (maybe I'll call EAS and see what they charge for the install).
