The car has to rev up and then drop the clutch. If there is a loss of power due to dsc intervention it bogs and gradually feeds in throttle. Do a launch control next time, problem solved.

If you "floor it" yeah it's gonna rev first but if you just wanna take off fast, use MDM and smooth but continuous throttle pushing, you won't get that lag. This is actually one skill an M3 DCT driver keeps on perfecting with every day of driving. 28,000 miles on my 2011 M3 and still working on perfect take off.

yeh, i think ur right, cause when i want some slip from traffic light which only need like 3k rpm, i never got this lag, because i just got my m3 for 2 weeks, i still need to learn how to drive this car. btw, i heard there is something called wind booster, it puts underneath the gas pedal, can i get that to solve this problem?

Sure. And i'll sell you a left-handed smoke shifter along with some dehydrated water.

I think he meant sprint booster. I had one on my E55 and it made a world of difference in throttle response.

What I learned is, Don't stomp on the accelerator. The DSC thinks the tires will spin so I think it limits some power. You have to progressively get on the throttle! Try it out, tell us how that works.

From my experience, in mine, pressing the accelerator all the way to the floor mimics a little launch control, in that, it builds up revs before throwing itself in to gear.
If I want to drive off immediately, I apply enough accelerator, but stop short of flooring it. It took a little while to get the feel for it.

I thought that at first too, but there is a device called a "Wind Booster". Found it after googling it.

OP, just put it in Sport Plus with MDM turned on.

Learning to launch is your friend. Drag racers spend careers trying to perfect it. Torquey cars are better at it too.

Aside from LC mode, the car isn't going to dump the clutch for you no matter how much gas you give it abruptly from a standstill.

It can only disengage the clutch while providing a non violent launch so quickly. It takes some time for it to properly get into gear while giving it a good amount of throttle, much like it would take some decent skill to launch a 6MT so quickly, without breaking the rear tires loose or causing DSC to kick in and ruin your launch.

My car is of course not an M3, but has a very similar DCT and trying to cut oncoming traffic or change lanes on a freeway from a standstill can be a death wish. If I stomp the gas from 0, I'll get DCT transmission lag, then I'll be dealing with a fraction of turbo lag, coupled with an onrush of boost which will immediately lead to tire breakage and DSC breaking my neck forward when it cuts power...resulting in my car going nowhere with traffic coming fast at my from behind, or in front of me.

i tried LC tonight, but most of time i fail, the only step im confused is that i release the break pedal after i setup everything, then hold forward the shifter then the flag comes up, and i step my foot on gas to 5k rpm, then i release the shifter, and most times the car doesnt move and the flag is gone, i tired lots of time, only get once successful, but i didnt know what i did to make it, is there any tip for LC? did i do anything wrong? and also after i have done the LC, i try to use again, the flag never show up, then i just give up. tell me something plz
