Help Detailing!!!

Hey guys so i'm no professional detailer so i need your help. I'm about to wash my car and looking to remove the wax put on by the dealership and heard dawn dish washing soap was the best. i have the sunlight one and was wondering if that will work okay without damaging the paint (i have jerez black).

Also, would rubbing alcohol damage the paint if i used 50% isopropyl and 50% water?

The soap should be fine. What you'll be looking for is a complete drop in surface tension. Once you're doing your rinse (after the wash), you shouldn't see any beading. If there's still a lot of beading, that's an indicator that there's something still on the surface of the paint that needs to be removed.

I'd recommend using glass cleaner rather than alcohol.

I'd recommend something like this Invisible Glass aerosol can over most things. You can find it in nearly all autoparts stores. Make a couple of phone calls so you don't waste time driving around and you'll be good to go!

anyone know a good detailer in toronto that washes, clay bars, polishes, and waxes to get rid of all the swirl marks that look like spider webs all over the car thanks
