Very cool,
I just wished this was offered at the beginning of the production. Also, the SMG was already fairly expensive, so I do not even want to think about the price of this new system. If it goes into production in March, does this mean first M3s with the system will arrive in June? Best regards, CSL |

I would say that both the Getrag as supplier and the couple of tenths off the 0-60 are both NEW pieces of the M-DCT puzzle. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Getrag DCT
It should be pointed out that the Getrag DCT is not particularly light at 174 lbs dry--I'm guessing a 50 lb. penalty over the manual. That must be factored into the acceleration times.

The DSG version of the Golf V GTI is also abt 50lbs more but still it runs faster than the manual version from 0-100km, so 50lbs for the E92 M3 won't be sigificant.

Autocar are not a reputable source, although in this case what they're saying is probably true. Autocar are known to just make stuff up just to sell magazines.

if the performance difference is that dramatic, then who's going to buy the first line of cars this fall? because a couple tenths is alot
