Tips for Removing the Trunk Lid Liner
I was wondering what is the proper way to remove the 10 gray fasteners holding the trunk lid liner to the trunk. That liner is held on there pretty well.
I rather not break the fasteners or the liner. |

Or use a thin flat head. Insert under the top T-pin and gradually pry it out...

Actually, if you are careful, these do work like new. It's actually two parts that interlock so when you remove them you are not bending them.

i broke one of mine a while back and went to the dealership to get a new one. my local dealership ripped me off to the tune of $2/rivet. of course i wants going to go home empty handed so i just bought it there but its surprising what kind of margin they can make on small parts like these.

It's just ridiculous how much some dealers mark up their parts prices. |

Ridzhao posted a thread a while ago for fitting a new bootlid and he had pics and instructions for the trunk release. The actual post might be on e90post.
