HELP AGAIN! 335is or M3

Hey guys, previously I was looking for a 335xdrive or an older used M3. Now my options have changed and are a fully loaded brand new 335is lemans on oyster white with manual or a 2009 e92 M3 fully loaded minus EDC with 34,000kms and is DTC and i'm also getting brand new tires and warranty up till 160,000. Should I do the M3??

Although your option is very nice, I would go for the M. Question, what warranty will you get 160,000 miles with?

Lemans and oyster sounds sexy! My buddy has that on his E90 335i and it is awesome! This might be one of the few times that I would suggest the 335is.

It will be 160,000 km's (~100,000 miles). That's the standard CPO warranty in Canada.

My choice would be (and will be) the M. I would look at residuals in 2, 3 and 4 years. I bet the 335is will drop significantly and the M will drop gradually and they will be worth the same in ~2.5 years.

That's only the financial side of the coin. What about 8400RPM V8!!!

The 335 is a really nice car. That's why my wife drives one and not me.

Btw, if you do go with a 335, that color combo really does sound amazing.

The 335iS is pretty nice: good exhaust note, bump in hp, unique appearance package and decent gas mileage, if you care about that. It also handles very well too, but the M is significantly better in terms of handling . Also, the note from the m's v8 is simply amazing. You can't go wrong with either car, but for pure fun and excitement, I'll take the m

Gete the 335is or the 335i x-drive. I think everyone in here recommending the M3 is doing it wrong.

There is nothing the 335is does better than the M3 other than have better gas mileage and costs less to acquire. Nothing else.

Oh, I get it.

Get the 335is and then lower the suspension, chip the turbo(s), get new wheels, change the brakes, upgrade the exhaust with quad tips, slap on a spoiler and then buy a hood with a couple of cool little vents in them!

Not like this hasnt been said before, but I had a 335is on order. I did nothing but have doubts about the decision with it being a $60k OTD 3 series. A loaded 2008 M3 Alpine White DCT with 29k miles popped up locally at a dealer and I couldnt get there fast enough. Cost me about $9k less than the 335is and all I can say now is that I understand the "M" crowd. Theres really no comparison.

All the people crying about no torque etc, get the M in the powerband which is almost instant and theres no looking back. I love the car, and Ive had a perma-smile for the last four days. I have NO DOUBT I made the right choice.

And that of course is my own opinion
