Think I got my cover from jlevisw.
+1

I had the same problem, but I settled with what I had because there is no way I am changing the entire airbag just to make my roundel look pretty. It wasn't even that bad. It was literally a 2 mm ding but the fact that it was there still bothered me.

OK. I found the stick on one at JS Levi. 15 bucks so I ordered the blue and silver carbon fiber one. I just need to make sure that I put it on perfectly straight or else its gonna bother me. Judging by the amount of responses this roundel issue is more than just an isolated problem.

Yes, definite design or manufacturing issue with this part. Mine in my coupe showed quite a lot of wear at 20k or so miles. Dealership refused to replace it as they said the airbag also must be replaced. I'd like to see a photo of a new BMW steering wheel roundel vs. the sticker option. Jlevi??

So I got mine in the mail saturday. Stuck it on and it looks ok. A little bigger than the original. And I opted for the blue/ silver carbon fiber. It is definitely darker than the original and the lettering appears to be skinnier. Overall it is an improvement over what I had, and not bad for 15 bucks plus shipping.
