E92 rear seat removal

Hi Fellas,
Can anyone point me in the right direction, of how to remove the rear seat backs on the E92 M3 ?.I can remove the rear seat bottoms, but am really struggling with how to remove the fold down seat backs, and side bolsters. Im really trying to remove the seat belts, but have come to the conclusion, that i have to remove the seats, before i can get at the fastenings that hold the seat belt reel cover in place. Its really annoying me that i cant seem to work it out for myself, but i guess thats what forums like this are for, when we need a bit of help, regards, SIMON.

Once folded down, you can undo the bolts in the center of the seat back Torx bit (I think its a 35 or 45)
Once that's gone and you remove the little bracket they come out at an angle sideways. Small one first than the large side.
Pull on them upwards and towards the side windows, they have little pegs on them

Thanks GreenHell,
I can see a torx screw head, in the middle of the two seats at the bottom, that seems to fasten the bracket to the body. There is very little room at all to get a torx key in there to remove it. I will see if ive got a longer extension bar i can fit the torx key to, and remove it. Thanks very much for the reply. I really do love this car, and am trying to make it almost perfect, hence the reason for taking it all to bits, to sort a slight rattle , regards, SIMON.

Just had another look, and there is no room at all to get any tools in to undo the torx screws. Is there a special tool for these, or is there something im missing here, and not doing correctly ?, regards, SIMON.

Only bit of info I can provide is removing the seat bottoms. You grab the front portion of the seat bottoms and pull towards you and up. You'll hear the clips disengage.

Seat back has to be the long skinny Torx head or n extension
I can get tools to go in jsut fine. Try having one of the backs slightly up and out of the way so that the opening will allow your wrist to fit through

Takes some contorting but you'll get it

I acutally never took out the center bracket for my E92. I first pulled the seat bottoms up, then pulled the side bolsters out. They come out from the top, just pull them forwards towards the front of the car from the top and sided. Some trim removal tools may help.

Then, you pull them up and out once the top comes loose, and you will see some torx bolts at the bottom (one for each side). Just undo the one bolt on each side, and then start pulling the seats apart. I started with the one on the left side of the car, pull it outwards and forwards, you'll eventually get it out.

If you want to put the side bolsters back in, then take the white clip (it will still be attached to the car) put it back into its slot in the side bolster, then clip everything back in.

My total weight reduction thus far has been around 300 lbs. I have Akra Evo, Recaro Pole Positions, and I removed the rear seats entirely.
