Has this car ever been on a dyno? If so, can you post numbers plz.
What comes with the "Dinan EDC Suspension"? Does it retain OE shocks?

Never been on a dyno, so I don't have a printout graph.

The suspension system retains the OE EDC adjustible shocks. I would provide a link to the suspension system but the Dinan site's link to it doesn't work, just a dead end saying they recently upgraded the site. It is the one-step below their full racing suspension, marked as the Stage 3 Performance Suspension for EDC.

It would be great to see some actual dyno numbers for this exquisite s65
Dinan makes some incredible stroker s62 race engines for Grand Am that redline for 12-24 hours in a single race.
I am almost tempted to pay for the dyno time
(most places charge around $75 for a baseline 3 pull dyno)

Great car. Might sell my F10M5 for this. Instead of an F80

If I can find the time and a dyno nearby thats convenient for my sked I'll look into it.

I've honestly never felt the desire to do it.

Indeed, it was hard figuring out a price because of that. I basically just took the price of an unmodified M3 with the same options and mileage and added 1/4 the cost of the Dinan work.

I know all too well that mods don't add much value to most cars, they can even depreciate them faster. But, with this being Dinan factory warrantied mods of a very high performance level, installed at a dealership before final delivery, not something put on a car 2 years into owning it I figured it was worth a little added value.

All I have is my phone to film it really, and the mic on that POS doesn't do it justice.

If I get something better I'll post it up.

As with any sale it's an asking price, a point to start from for negotiation and what I would like to get ideally.

Should a serious buyer step up with a respectable offer, I'll entertain it. I've already got a few painfully hard to take serious offers, one including trade for a rug (I'm sure it was a nice rug, but I'm good).

Trade for a rug. lol If the person is willing to part with the Rug, why not sale it and than have cash for the car? I don't understand peoples though process. I did grow up in the desert. maybe I'm the odd one.
I felt strange just thinking about offering some one cash plus Barrett M107A1 50 BMG for a car.

It would be a great asset to the e92m3 community to dyno this car for reference.
Ive been a huge fan of s65 strokers ever since the RD Sport and GTS engines came out.
The weird thing with Dinan is that they have a reputation for silly hp claims since the e46m3.
However, their GrandAm s62 engine department is the best in the world.
So this dyno would really help backup their claim and help your sale ...or backup their reputation of exaggerated hp claims and hurt your sale.

I dont recall ever seeing a true rwhp dyno sheet on an s65 Dinan stroker.

I agree it would be great for the community, but in all respect I would only take the time out of my sked to do it for a serious buyer who is willing to pay for the testing to make their decision. Similar to a PPI.

I know this sounds dickish, and I do mean it respectfully hoping you'll understand, but just taking the time and money to do it to serve as a reference for people not interested in buying this car isn't a high priority for me. Maybe someone can convince Dinan to do it on one of theirs and sell more motors?

Spinnaker,

The main reason for concern is that a DINAN S65 4.6L Stroker Engine was tested against a RDsport in the Engine forum and it did not perform very well. It came to the point where Dinan Engineering posted in the thread to say they were going to look into it. Problem seems to be tuning related. Thats why any "informed" forum member will want a DYNO from this particular car. I would as well.

Ah, gotcha, didn't hear about that.

But, like I said, if that informed forum member wanted to purchase the car, I'd be willing to look into getting a dyno run done on their dime. To me, it's the same thing as a PPI.

I understand your position.
It takes time, even if I did pay for it.
Even if it makes half the claimed added hp, its still a great motor.
