Ouch! $1100-1200/mo for a lease on an M3.

are you planning for a 60 month finance?

I am considering 60 months but leaning towards 54...

I can't spend more than 1100 a month, so I guess if I want an M3, I will have to get a sedan, unless I want a bare bones E92.

My CA said that these were official from BMW... he may have just gotten the numbers a day or two early.

i think that these M3 lease rates are way off... for that kind of monthly payments my local dealer was offering M6's with $0 down for 24 months last month.

that's different though man. might be specials on 07's or something. MSRP might be discounted. again my cousin got his 103k M6 for 87k so his lease came up to 1k + tax

... and still it is $87,000, not $65,000 (an average transaction price of the M3 that I made up). I do understand certain lease "specials", but damn, this is an M6 paying more or less the same lease amount as the M3.

The residual is off of MSRP. Someone posted earlier that M6 residuals are 58% @ 15K and 61% @ 10K. Sales price of $87K means you are not financing as much based on only a $24,170 depreciation, using the $103K MSRP & 87K sales price. Throw in the better lease factor and it is cheaper than an M3.

M6s no longer carry the demand that the new M3 will have. Give it some time and it will drop. This is the way it almost always is for "hot" new car intros. For now, just buy it vs lease.

yah but how often do you get a deal like that, and will you get it on a spanking brand new car that's marked up 10k or 20k around the nation?!

question though, doesnt BMWFS release the numbers AFTER the beginning of the month? usually march numbers will come out march 1st or 2nd. I wonder if the numbers listed for the M3 are any real.

another question... has anyone looked into an independent lease company or leasing through a bank or financial institution? i think im going to go that route to get better residual on the car

That was a special running to get rid of 07 cars. They jacked up the residual, so that a 24 months lease ran something around 1100 a month. It was an amazing deal that I would have jumped on had the powers that be not stated that 500HP was too powerful.

I will post this and will delete it soon. I am posting this just to verify and prove residuals have been released. For Money Factor, its all "Standard" and as I mentioned for Feb 2008 standard MF is .00275.

Click and open.
Thanks.

There are a lot of great cars out in this price range (S5, C63) with more coming (Jag, CTS-V) so maybe we will see a drop after 4/30. It will all depend on demand.

Those must be for 15k miles... 12k miles, add 2 points, 10k, add 3 points. This works out to exactly what I said in the beginning of the thread.

Looking at the X6... the lease numbers are going to be complete shit with standard MF and 53% residual for 12k miles.

Yeah, but you have the option to use all 500, which means that it would be a lie if I said that the M6 engine produces 400 HP at peak HP.

Residuals 15K 53%
12K 55%
10K 56%

From what was posted earlier this is my understanding.

Yeah, I am currently deciding between an S5, M3 and C63 (have deposits down on all 3). It is really tough to chose. Ultimatly, I would like to get an E92 M3, but with the options I want, I can't afford it, but I can afford the sedan with the options I want. (I am going to lease them so the 2 pts higher on the sedan effects my payments by quite a bit, not to mention that the sedan is also cheaper)
