Hi all,

Coming over from the F8x forum and current owner of an F82. I’ve been searching for an e92 as it’s been my dream car since I first laid eyes on it in 2009 and I’m finally in a position to buy one. Anyhow, I’ve been reading up a lot on the e9x forum and I’ve learned a ton of information that is available and I’ve very appreciative of some members who have offered they’re ownership experiences and advice during the buying process.

I think I may have found the one, however, I would love to get your guys’ feedback on this particular E92. It’s a 2010 E92 AW DCT with 29k miles, offer at $49K. I’ll take any feedback you guys can offer. My main question is, I know this is a tough topic, but given it’s year, mileage, some aftermarket parts, how do you guys feel about the price?

2010 E92 For Sale

Thanks in advance! -Mike

link doesn't work anymore, but price feels high for a non-comp DCT, even with low miles. common color, no combox, no comp.

can't see ownership or accident history, assuming low / none...

I agree on pricing being a bit high for a non comp car. If it was a 2011.75+ comp at that price and mileage I think it would be fair.

You can get a low mileage (<45k miles) comp car in your budget.

Really appreciate the feedback/insight. Sorry for the link not working, but the carfax shows 3 previous owners/no accidents. Maintenance and service is very consistent and given mileage, RB and TA have not been replaced according to dealer rep. I’m on the fence as to what offer to make given the current market, but also factoring in some of the aftermarket parts on the car(18” bbs e88, Ohlins R&T Coilovers, etc). The wheels can be removed and price would be adjusted according to dealer rep. Decision to purchase will be based on PPI results as well.

E88s and entry level ohlins dont make that car worth $49k. especially not a 2010.

.. DCT's on these cars are dogshit. Just my personal opinion, no pun intended. I recommend a 6sp manual if you can find one, and obviously can drive it.

That price is extremely exaggerated also. The auto is not worth more than 30k in that trim, give or take a few ..... Keep looking; was about to say that I'd sell you mine for 30k (55k miles) but thinking about what I'm going to replace it with.. can't think of anything at that price so I'll just drive it to death.

Thanks for the input! I’m considering the 6MT as it would give me a greater range in buying options.

I would tread lightly on that information, the DCT in this car is absolutely amazing, that opinion above is not common at all in real life or on these forums.

I have owned both and the DCT is better in every measurable way unless you just like rowing your own gears. That debate aside just dismissing the DCT as an "auto" and saying random personal opinions doesn't help anyone make informed decisions. The DCT is extremely good, not quite PDK Porsche good but what is???

It does mean the previous owner probably cared about the car though, and appears to not purchase cheap parts.
