Cheapest Way to Add More Sound
I've decided against cutting my stock pipes, and adding HFCs or deleting the cats.
I have an Eisenmann Sport, and I love how there is no drone and its quite during cruising but I would love if there was just a little more "anger" when nailing it. Would my cheapest option be to trade my exhaust for something else (sport oriented of course) Is bastuck louder than the Eisenmann? p.s. I'm definitely do NOt want ES or Gintani Race level of sound. |

If you would be willing to delete the secondary cats and install an x-pipe that should wake it up. Otherwise a new exhaust is in your future.

I mean, I would love this, but I don't want to do the HFCs.
I don't want to mess with the CEL and I don't want to spend another thousand to get a tune. I dunno... |

An exhaust shop should be able to take out the secondary cats to just before the resonators and replace it with straight pipes and an X-pipe for around $200. They wanted to cut after the stock X-pipe because the pipes are not round before the stock X-pipe. You'll have no check engine like, more power and more sound.
The shop I went to could even add flanges to make it removeable but it would cost more.

I'd install the challenge or the fabspeed x-pipe only (no HFC).

I just added the X pipe with my AA exhaust. I also felt that the AA exhaust needed to be slightly more louder. Man am I happy. The sound is perfect. The xpipe accentuates the high pitch sound coming from the AA exhaust. In addition, I did not have to get the HFC's -which cost quite a lot. I might be missing on the major power gains but the sound is well worth this mod.

My suggestion is $200 and essentially the same as the Challenge pipe. You have to cut your exhaust either way.

I have the bastuck exhaust and i think the sound level is pretty much the same as ES sport.. So u wont be gaining much sound by switching to bastuck

It's a reputable shop in the OC. I don't know rates in NY, but probably a little higher. You'll still use the stock resonators, so that saves about $100. It's an easy job for any decent shop.
