Clutch replacement
Dealer put in a new tranny for me and told me my clutch is at 50%. Car has 40,000kms. I was just wondering on average with some aggressive driving but no track time, Is this ok. I never had a car long enough where I needed too replace the clutch but thinking of holding on too this one

Assuming the transmission was a warranty item, I would say the dealer is trying to pad his margin by getting you to bite on the clutch. I would want a second opinion before dropping $ on the clutch.

mine was sold with almost 70000km without replacing clutch/brake/wind shield wipers. (I asked the dealer about those and they always told me they were still good) The battery was replaced at around 68000km under factory warranty (no charge). Tires that I went through, OEM Michelin PS2, Pirelli winter tires (still good for 2 more winter seasons, as estimated by a reputable tire shop), BridgeStone RE11 with about 3000km when I sold them. Besides the tires, I really didn't pay anything extra for driving a M3 for the last few years. Will definitely do it again in the future.
