I would try resetting your iPod through iTunes.

Are you using the ipod y-cable? I saw the same thing when I tried using the original i-pod (not y, usb only) cable.

The cable you should be using (if equipped with a USB port in your armrest) should look like this:

intersting. If you're running Vista, go into "My Compuer" and click on "Organize", and then "Folder and Search Options". Check the box to "Show hidden files and folders." Now double click on your iPod icon and look for the slightly shaded folders. I forget the names but you'll quickly find the iTunes music folder and then you'll start seeing the folders names starting with "F01". Open one of these and you'll see all the goofy file names like GFDX or whatever. If you double click one of them iTunes will open up start playing that song and all of the information will show up instead of "GFDX." This is also how you can copy the files from your iPod to another computer.

The real issue is why is it showing up that way on your iDrive. I'd reconnect to your computer or try a reboot of your iPod as was suggested above.

I had the same problem with my ipod..so.....
Best thing to do...(in my opinion) is to buy yourself a decent USB memory stick, put all your songs on there as you would have them on your computer and plug it straight in.
Works the best for me... no delay.

Which means for some reason your iDrive is reading the files hidden information and not the display names. Try resetting the iPod (hold the menu and center buttons until the Apple logo appears) and see what happens.
