Seen a lot of comments that state the new engine is going back to bmws roots of I6 engines like in the e46M. Personally, i laugh because i guess the two turbos are invisible. Ive always thought the e46/e9xM engines were very similar in sound, power delivery, all sorts of characteristics. I think the v8 just gave it some more oomph to an already outstanding engine. Theres more to an engine than just number of cylinders right?
So lets debate, argue, troll this one out.
V8 NA more different than I6 NA?
Or I6 FI more different than I6 NA?
What are your thoughts?
This is engine characteristics only - which has always been pretty similar in every m3.
