It's still there. The shifts are excessively smooth. It was practically impossible to get a super-smooth shift with the CDV installed from 1st to 2nd...and many times 2nd to 3rd was glitchy. The clutch was set to re-engage at a set maximum rate, so one didn't have complete control over when it re-engaged so a shift that would normally work out well did not. It was a pretty constrained CDV, and replacing it with a emptied one completely, and I mean COMPLETELY, changed the dynamics of the car. Ask anyone with a 335 that has done the mod.
