I hadn't seen speed cloth in person until delivery day. I really like it a lot. I wasn't totally sure about the color but in high desert sun it looks spectacular. I'm extremely pleases. The only thing I'd do different is the aluminum trim to break up the dark tones of the interior.
I've put 400+ miles on this week and love it!
My last fun car was a '91 C2 964 and before that a 944 S2. We sold my wife's '08 MINI Cooper S right before the ordering the M3.

So far, I'd concur with the MT feeling a little 'rubbery'. It's not as precise feeling as my old 911's and the gates don't quite feel evenly spaced. 5th and 6th feel farther to the right from 3rd and 4th than 3rd and 4th feel from 1st and second. (hopefully that makes sense) The steering feels precise but a tad light and not as tactile or coarse as my old 911.
I like the shifter better than the MINI's for what it's worth.
It is still extremely satisfying to drive. I've throughly enjoyed reading the opinions and experiences on this site. Thanks all for sharing.

The gear change is a little rubbery
I just bought the ZHP gear knob
World of difference
I love my shifts now
Only problem is I can't fit the OEM boot since it's one piece with the oem boot
So trying to find a replacement boot
