I don't know the 335's final drive ratio. It's got more torque than my M3, so it's probably got a lower numerical ratio.
It's the combination of the FD ratio and the transmission gear ratios that's important. On my M3, the stock FD is 3.76 to 1 and the 6 gears are selected as a good compromise for fleet mileage and performance. The 6MT has 6-gears and the DCT has 7-gears, that actually have lower ratios, so the DCT's FD ratio is somewhere around 3.45 to 1. Throwing a 4.10 into a DCT would be a huge mistake. You can't select one ratio without knowing the corresponding other ratios.
