My two cents is to stick with the OEM tire sizes if you can get decent track tires. This will keep the handling balance as close to stock as possible. If you are more experienced and are comfortable running more tire, then by all means, use something wider. I just took a cursory glance and the choices in the OEM 18" sizes are not great.

Also keep in mind that for a given size, such as the 265 rear, the actual tread width can vary based on the tire. Example:

Michelin PSS: 9.8"
Bridgestone S04: 9.5"
