I'd love it if there were a ranking poll, where we could either rank them all or rank our top three or top five. I've seen that elsewhere, but this forum software doesn't provide for it. I think that'd provide the most meaningful result. Also, I think that you should only see the poll results if you've already voted.

It would be nice if you could just look at one picture at a time, rate it 1-10, and do it for all pics. That way everyone gets critiqued/voted, and then we can take the average or sum of all ratings you got to determine the winner.
