I really doubt playing with the boost will increase the steering feel "at the center". We should keep in mind that almost all reviews are fine with the feel once the steering wheel is rotated and the steering mechanim is engaged/suspension is loaded accordingly. The issue is most likely about the specifics of the linkage between the steering wheel and the suspension/front wheels.
