I posed this exact question some time ago. Granted it was buried fairly deeply and very well may have been OT. If you can control the steering boost with idrive there should not be any reason you can not get a hack or some other way to reduce the boost. I suppose it could be 3 fixed settings only but simply altering pressure does seem like it would be easy to hack. Although it is true that if the steering feels light a reduction in pressure should help it can not help steering that has other geometry/design problems leading to poor feel/sensitivity.
