It's not really about being pulled over; they have sniffer vans on off ramps and on ramps randomly that will catch you either way.
Which kind of defeats the purpose of even getting passed by a "flexible" guy because if the vans catch you and get your plate/look up your info, you're screwed big time.
I'd just park it for 4 months or fix it. Those sniffer tickets are like 5k I heard.
